House on the hill

CRINALE, the Italian word for ridge, has an uphill accent on the "i", uphill like the road that leads here.
Crinale is a place to be together.
A recording studio? Absolutely, but not only that.
Crinale is a space for creativity and sharing.
A laboratory that reinvents itself every time.

Crinale is an open, mutant, adaptable place.
A second home, for those of us who have been orbiting around Strade Blu for the past twenty years, and for all the artists who have walked this road with us.

A house whose doors have been open to everyone, by combining resources and insights with our precious analog friends from L'Amor Mio Non Muore, as well as our friends from Lombardi Amplificazioni, Gagarin Orbite Culturali and Borgo Fregnano.
People with whom we share a way of seeing art and sound, and the relations behind them.

Crinale offers the opportunity to work on one’s project while being immersed in the enchanting surrounding nature. No pressure, living day and night in the Borgo, sitting at the table together, eating food, drinking local wine, and organizing the technical and residential space according to the needs of each production. Discovering places and instruments that tell old stories, while threading new ones.

All while managing budgets and times in the best possible way, without waste.

Music - making music, rehearsing music, recording music - is most certainly our starting point, but there is room for all the ideas you can think of in between.
Directors, choreographers, photographers, lovers of nature, silence and introspection have also dropped by the Crinale.

Here, you will find curated equipment and a working group with both heart and international experience, organized in such a way as to make everything you need available to you, at every production or idea you may have.

We will shortly present the harvest of our first season.

In the past few months, Crinale has become an experience for many, one that must be shared.
Recordings made at the Crinale are already being distributed on record. They have also been aired on national television, and on documentaries’ soundtracks that we will soon present to you in person.
Other international projects are brewing.

By signing up for the Crinale's newsletter you’ll be able to stay informed on our projects, and keep in touch with us.  In exchange, we would like to offer you a record that we fondly cherish.

The Lockdown Blues was born in the darkest moment of the past two complicated years.  It brought us back together, and in some way we consider it to be the founding act of this new path.
Featured on the record are four musicians who are also among the souls of this project.

Finally, Crinale supports the production of original music, particularly that of local and regional artists.
This is thanks to the support of the Emilia Romagna Music Commission that we thank for their attention and contribution.

Meet us back at the Crinale.
To keep the music flowing, and to become one with the music and the arts.

Once again, welcome to the Crinale.
